Franklin Learning Academy (FLA) has two learning tracks with one important goal: educational success. To start, we offer imaginative and nurturing early learning opportunities for toddlers, preschoolers, and preK students. Employing hands-on learning opportunities, each class is designed to teach educational building blocks, build toward school readiness, and strengthen social-emotional development.
Toddlers | Preschool | PreK | Jr. Kindergarten | Summer Camp
Investigators (Toddlers)
With guidance, these naturally curious learners build lasting friendships, strong self-esteem, and a love for education. “Investigators” truly live up to their name as they explore and learn in hands-on, developmentally appropriate play.
- Small, focused class sizes
- Both teacher- and child-directed play-based activities, plus rest time
- Emphasis on skills development (identifying letters and colors, using utensils, playing outdoors
Explorers (Preschool)
FLA helps your three- and four-year-olds master age-appropriate activities, gain gross- and fine motor skills, and learn to socialize and follow rules.
- Opportunities for solo and group learning and exploring
- Continued practice of academic building blocks (early writing, reading, math)
- Focus on emotional development, problem-solving, and school readiness
Pathfinders (PreK)
Children in the Pathfinders Classroom will be asked to complete more concrete tasks so they’re prepared for the next steps in their education. Our goal is to ensure your child has mastered all the necessary skills to enter Kindergarten by providing individualized planning, challenging your child, and considering their progress.
- Math, science, writing, and reading are emphasized
- Small group activities strengthen social- and problem-solving skills
- Key Kindergarten-required skills are practiced and perfected
Junior Inspectors (Jr. Kindergarten)
This option is a great in-between step for students who:
- Miss the state’s age cutoff
- Are getting ready for Kindergarten or
- Would benefit from differentiated curriculum prior to starting school
The Junior Inspectors Classroom focuses on math, science, early literacy, writing and social skills to prepare children for Kindergarten—and the rest of their schooling career. Students in the Junior Inspectors Classroom will:
- Gain critical academic building blocks that align with state learning standards
- Grow their social-emotional, developmental, and school readiness skills
Summer Camp
Voyagers (5 years old to 12 years old)
Voyagers Summer Camp is all about exploring the world around us and learning about people, places, and things that many of us have only seen on TV or in books.
Voyagers (campers) have the flexibility to select from a variety of exciting topics that will take them on incredible journeys to far-off destinations where they will learn about people such as Louis Armstrong, places like the Great Wall of China, and things such as the Eiffel Tower!
